In 1985, my father purchased a portable LT30 manual Wood-Mizer sawmill.  The mill required cant hooks, an occasional tractor, and a lot of muscle to load, rotate, and level the logs.  After years of watching and occasionally helping him, I began to develop my own skills as a sawyer.  With time, my understanding of the unique cutting attributes of various species grew.  First Cut Custom Sawn Lumber is more than a name, it represents years of experience, passion and serving my customers.
